Keeping our roads safe and well-maintained is an important part of serving our community. Peru Township Trustees are committed to ensuring that township roads remain in good condition year-round.

PERU TOWNSHIP – REQUEST FOR BIDS

Peru Township is accepting bids for road work, including resurfacing, motor mix, hot mix (411 asphalt), chip and seal, and road repairs. Bids must be submitted by the ton and by gallons applied. All paving and chip and seal work must be completed using a one-pass paver.

Bidders must provide proof of Workers’ Compensation coverage, insurance, a bid bond, and ODOT certification. All materials and equipment must meet the State of Ohio Construction and Materials Specifications.

All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked:
“Peru Township Road Bids 2026”

Deadline: No bids will be accepted after 7:00 PM on May 14, 2026.
Bidders are not required to be present.

Bids will be opened at a regular meeting on May 14, 2026, at 7:05 PM at the Township Hall (1031 County Road 24, Marengo, OH 43334).

Township Responsibilities

The Peru Township Trustees handle maintenance on all township roads, including:

  • Patching potholes and repairing damaged pavement

  • Snow and ice removal during the winter months

  • Roadside mowing and vegetation control

  • Minor drainage improvements and ditch maintenance

  • Sign maintenance on township roads

County & State Road Projects

Not all roads in the township are maintained by Peru Township.

When reporting an issue, please include:

  • The road name and nearest address or intersection

  • A description of the problem
